Daily Travels

With my job, I travel every day.  It is not unusual for me to drive anywhere from 250-300 miles per day.  I would rather be on the road every day than sitting in some office, doing a job that I despise.

 I'm home every night, ready to play homework hitler and to get Josh ready for the next school day.

As much as I love photography, my real job pays the bills, but I do get to see some pretty cool things!

Who doesn't love kittens??

Several months ago, this cat showed up at my parents home.  The cat was skinny and desperately suffering from malnutrition.  My Mom can't stand to see anything starving, so she decided to feed the cat.  Well, a few days later, the cat brought friends.  Then 6 weeks ago, we get 4 kittens!

They are so precious!!!!

Diane's 40th Birthday Party~ "40 is the NEW 20"

Last Sunday we celebrated Diane's 40th Birthday at my family cabin.  It was such a fun filled time with family & friends!  Diane & Dawn are both very special to my family, since our mama(s) were best friends since they were in the 8th grade.  As Dawn said a few weeks back, "I am their sister from another mistress".....

While Dawn & I were planning, we immediately decided against the entire black "over the hill" theme.  Diane is girly & we wanted to have a fun party!

Here is our Birthday girl, with her daughter Carson

Friends.....

What defines a true friend?

A 'true friend' is someone who will stay with you even if everybody has turned their backs on you.

People will come in and out of your life, but a true friend will always be there.  I can count on one hand the friends that I could call on anytime.  We may not see each other often, but we are always there for each other during a time of need.

My mom recently had a health scare.  Dawn sent this to me the morning we were at Emory for our consult with the neurosurgeon.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.

Class of 92~fast forward 20 years!

Wow, what 20 years will do!  Melissa & I decided the day before to attend our reunion, and I am so glad we did.  Even though we are all friends with everyone on facebook, it was great to see them in person.

Words of Advice: never give up the opportunity to attend a class reunion!
